Take a Two Nation Vacation! After you have visited the Secret Places the Olympic Peninsula holds for your discovery, leave your car behind and take a day trip to Victoria, B.C.! The public transportation in the inner harbor is fantastic, and there are many things to see within walking distance of the ferry terminals. There are two ferries to choose from for the crossing. The 60 minute Victoria Express ferry is passenger only and can accommodate your bicycle or kayak. If you want to take your vehicle, the 90 minute M.V. Coho ferry the M.V. Coho can accommodate your car, truck or RV. Idenification Requirement for border crossing - depending on your citizenship, one of the following is needed: Washington State Enhanced Drivers License, or A passport, or Birth certificate and valid Photo ID(for US born citizens). Tips for Ferry Travel: Avoid the summer weekend/holiday rush. Arrive at the terminal at least one hour before scheduled sailing time. For ferry travel between Canada and the U.S., make sure that you have appropriate identification. Whenever possible, use local transportation and leave your car behind; foot passengers and cyclists don't have to wait for the next ferry! Bring a jacket. Outside decks offer a refreshing ride, but they can get breezy. Eat on board. Enjoy specialty beverages, light meals and snacks in the ferry cafe, or bring your own picnic. Pets are allowed on the car deck only. |
