![]() Driving Directions From the Seattle/Tacoma area, travelers may reach U.S. 101 by several different routes, either by crossing Puget Sound on one of the Washington State Ferries or by driving south around Puget Sound. From Port Angeles, take Highway 101 west about 4 miles. Turn right on Highway 112 toward Neah Bay. Highway 112, also known as the Strait of Juan de Fuca Highway, has numerous locations for bird watching all along the coast. The highway has been designated as a National Scenic Byway.
