Driving Directions From the Seattle/Tacoma area, travelers may reach U.S. 101 by several different routes, either by crossing Puget Sound on one of the Washington State Ferries or by driving south around Puget Sound. Follow Highway 101 to First and Race Streets in Port Angeles, traveling south on Race for 1.5 to the Olympic National Park Visitors Center. Check there for road conditions before proceeding 17 miles to the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center.
