Cape Flattery
Olympic Discovery Trail

The Olympic Discovery Trail provides bicyclists, pedestrians and equestrians a year-round opportunity to explore the beautiful scenery edging the northern Olympic Peninsula along the historic route of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroads. When completed, the Olympic Discovery Trail will cover 120 miles and will be one of the longest trail systems in the country. Segments of the route are now open between Sequim and Port Angeles, each offering unique views of the snowcapped Olympic Mountains, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, farm fields and forested foothills. Trails, ranging in length from 4 to 6 miles, present hikers and bikers with a variety of experiences - from a New England style covered bridge to a 200-acre forest research farm and the Dungeness River Interpretive Center.
